Annotation
In "The Mother," a play staged by the "ArtStudiya" Theatre Studio of the Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators, the fight against fascism and the moral devastation caused by war are vividly portrayed.
The play tells the story of Mother Dolores, whose family is torn apart by war, and through her personal tragedy, reflects the suffering of all humanity.
After losing her husband and all her children, she ultimately sends her youngest son, Toni, to defend the homeland.
The Mother conveys the message that, even if children become martyrs, the homeland must survive, so no mother will ever shed tears again.
The play's greatest strength lies in its powerful dramatism and universal message. Through this production, we say a resounding "No!" to war.
