Sergey Bezrukov -"Хулиган. Исповедь"

About event

On October 3, 2025, we celebrate the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin. In this commemorative year, we invite you to immerse yourself in his poetry together with the creative team of the musical and poetic performance "Hooligan. Confession."

Sergei Yesenin. A scandalous poet. A hooligan poet. He remains forever an enigmatic figure with a tragic fate. Many directors and documentary filmmakers have tried to uncover his image, to lift the veil on the mystery of his tragic departure from life. But no one has truly attempted to answer the question: Who was Sergei Yesenin?

Yesenin’s poems and songs based on his verses, performed by Sergey Bezrukov, are woven into a tragic story about the fate of the great Russian poet. Over the course of two hours, his entire life unfolds before us—his dreams and disappointments, his struggles and inner turmoil, his love, his poetry, and ultimately, his tragic end. This is the Poet’s confession, where not a single word is fictional: every phrase spoken in the performance belongs to Yesenin himself.

The creators of the performance believe that Yesenin is not only to be read—Yesenin can be danced, Yesenin can and should be sung. The performance features dynamic rock compositions, fiery tango, and heartfelt ballads. Different styles and genres of art come together to show us just how multifaceted Sergei Yesenin truly was.
